The St. Louis Cardinals defeated Milwaukee 12-6 Sunday night to win the National League pennant and advance to the World Series.  St. Louis won the series 4 games to 2 and wins their 4th National League pennant since 2004 and 18th overall.  David Freese hit a 3-run homerun and both Rafael Furcal and Albert Pujols hit solo homeruns for the Cardinals.

St. Louis will host Texas in game 1 of the World Series Wednesday night.
