ST CLOUD - The St. Cloud State Huskies (12-13-1, 6-9-1 NCHC) pushed University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs (17-5-4, 11-4-1 NCHC) to the edge but fell in OT.

The Huskies were on the board early on a goal by sophomore defense man Will Borgen's second goal of the season. Borgen jumped into the offensive rush and a great pass found him streaking to the net.

The Huskies led most of the game until giving up an early 3rd period goal to UMD. The goal came off an unfortunate bounce for SCSU.

Shots were fairly even throughout regulation, but the Bulldogs took over in OT. Shots were 8-3 in favor of the Bulldogs in the extra period.

The Bulldogs winning goal came off of a great redirect pass leaving goalie Jeff Smith without a chance. Smith finished the night with 32 saves

Up next for SCSU is a showdown with North Dakota at Ralph Engelstad Arena next weekend.
