Blues Batter Wild, Cullen Injured
The St. Louis Blues snuck past the Wild 4-1 in a hard-fought game that saw Minnesota outshoot their opponent 25-24. Mikko Koivu took an unpenalized high stick to the eye and missed most of the first period before returning. Matt Cullen left the game with a lower body injury suffered late in the second period and did not return.
Cullen is listed as day-to-day.
St. Louis led 1-0 after one period thanks to a Jaden Schwartz goal.
Dany Heatley scored his tenth of the season seven minutes into the second period to tie the game at one, but St. Louis answered back with a pair of goals in a two-minute span to seal the win.
The Wild remain in third place in the Western Conference despite the loss. Minnesota is at San Jose late Wednesday.
