Vincent Jackson's three-run home run in the second inning sparked an offensive outburst for St. Cloud in a 9-3 win at Alexandria Saturday.

Jackson's blast, a laserbeam to right field, was his second hit of the season in twelve at bats and gave the Rox a 3-0 lead. Third baseman Blake Headley hit a solo home run into a light tower in the fourth for a 4-0 St. Cloud advantage.

Meanwhile, Rox starter Eric Nyquist posted his longest start of the season and did not allow a run until the seventh inning, no small feat considering the Blue Anchors lead the league in hitting.

The Rox rallied for five more runs in the top of the seventh before Alexandria finally got to Nyquist in the bottom of the seventh. Reese Gregory and Adam Maxon combined on the hill to close out the Anchors, who fall to a league-worst 4-19.

The Rox are now 10-15 and snapped a four game losing skid with the victory.
