Big Expectations For Mauer

Joe Mauer makes his return to the Twins' lineup Friday night and he facing the pressure on helping the Twins get back in the race in the American League Central.  Mauer has been out since April 12 and the Twins have gotten little production from the catcher position offensively without him.  Twins fans have grown tired of the "leg weakness" excuse for Mauer missing games.  I think he'll be forgiven if he starting hitting immediately and misses few games behind the plate.  Fans want to like Mauer but for the first time in his career some fans have started to turn on him because of what many of think is a made up injury.  Winning and success changes a lot of opinions and those opinions could start changing tonight if Mauer starts off well.
