Storms Possible Again on Saturday
Hot and humid conditions return along with a chance of thunderstorms on Saturday, some of which could be strong to severe from eastern MN into western WI.
A Few Showers, Thunderstorms Possible
Some redevelopment of storms is expected this afternoon as a cold front passes. Severe weather is possible with the afternoon activity, primarily from northern IA across southeast MN and central WI (areas #2 and #3 on the map).
Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Likely Tuesday Night
Another line of strong storms is expected to race eastward across the area tonight. The greatest risk for severe weather is west of Interstate 35.
Strong Storms Knock Down Trees, Power Lines [VIDEO]
A strong thunderstorm rumbled through central Minnesota early Sunday morning knocking down trees and power lines. Stearns County Emergency Management Director Erin Hausauer says the most significant damage to trees was in the Eden Valley area.
Acceleration Baseball Center Planning Move to Sauk Rapids, Name Change
The owners of "Acceleration Baseball Center" are planning to move their business from St. Cloud to Sauk Rapids. Co-owner Gary Posch says they want to build an 18,500 square foot facility in the Industrial Park, just east of Highway 10.
Warmer Weather Could Bring A Few Thunderstorms
It will certainly feel like summer the next couple of days with afternoon highs topping out in the 80s. Thunderstorms are not expected to develop until this evening, with another round possible Saturday afternoon ahead of cold front that will be working across the area.
More Rain this Weekend
Wet weather will return later today as rain shifts north from Iowa. The most widespread rain expected this weekend is in the Friday night through Saturday morning time frame but scattered showers are expected to persist into Sunday morning.

Occasional thunderstorms this morning will end. The main hazard will be locally heavy rainfall.
Rain, Snow in the Forecast
The cold side of the system will feature a band of rain changing to wet snow beginning late this evening and continuing into Monday morning.
Cool, Wet Week Ahead
Rain will spread back into the area today and continue through much of Wednesday before ending. Shower chances will linger Thursday along with clouds and cooler temperatures.
