Central MN Looking at Earliest Ice Out
The warmer than normal temperatures are cutting short the ice fishing season and will likely cause the earliest ice out on area lakes. Glen Schmitt from Outdoor News joined me on WJON. He says this is the earliest ice out in his lifetime and likely the earliest ice out on record.
Attempted Garage Break-In in Waite Park
Waite Park Police are reporting that a resident called stating that someone was trying to break into their garage on the 100 block of 10th Avenue North between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Alicia Mages from Tri-County Crimestoppers says the person trying to break in was shinning flashlights on their cameras.

Boys Basketball Playoffs Results/Schedule; Sabres and Storm Fall
Both the Sartell-St. Stephen and Sauk Rapids-Rice boys basketball teams saw their seasons come to an end Wednesday night in the Section 8-4-A quarterfinals. The Sabres lost at top seeded Rogers 60-44 while Sauk Rapids-Rice fell at home to 5th seeded Moorhead 73-72 Wednesday night.
Albany, Holdingford Advance in Section Playoffs
Albany will play Holdingford in the girls basketball Section 6-2-A final Friday at St. Cloud State. The top seeded Huskies had no trouble with upset minded 12th seeded Annandale by posting a 78-34 win at St. John's Wednesday night.
Dates Sets For St. Cloud Yard Waste and Opening of Compost Site

The Granite City Train Show returns to the Rivers Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud this Saturday March 9 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the Glen Carlson Hall. Admission is $6 for adults and kids 10 and under get in free.
Boys Basketball Results/Schedule; Tech Advances
The Tech boys basketball team defeated Little Falls 82-56 in the Section 8-3-A Quarterfinals Tuesday night. The Tigers improve to 18-9 and will play at 2nd seeded Detroit Lakes at 7 p.m. Friday night. Tech is the #3 seed in the section.
