The Oakland A's took the rubber match of their three game series with the Twins Thursday by an 8-2 final score at Target Field. Oakland outscored Minnesota 29-9 in the series.

Twins starter Scott Diamond picked up where he left off before being sent down to the minors, failing to get out of the fifth inning for the eighth time in 20 starts this season. The lefty allowed five runs on six hits in 4.2 innings pitched.

Oswaldo Arcia hit a solo home run in the seventh inning to get the Twins on the board, and Alex Presley added an RBI single in the eighth to cap the Minnesota offensive output for the day.

The Twins begin a series with the Tampa Bay Rays Friday night at Target Field.
