Apollo Holds On For The Win Tuesday

Sartell-St. Stephen -- On Tuesday night, the Apollo Eagles defeated the Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres 66-61 at Sartell.  Leading the way for the Eagles was Adbihakim Sukri with 14 points.

Coming out of halftime Apollo was leading 34-31 over Sartell. Already a closely contested game each team was looking to take control during the second half. Sartell would lead 61-60 with about a minute left in the game when Apollo's Elijah Edwards would a big 3 pointer to take the lead 63-61. Apollo would get a basket and a foul and they would hit the free throw to make the score 66-61.

With the victory Apollo moves to 7-13 on the season and will play host to Rocori on Friday, January 10th. With the loss Sartell moves to 9-10 on the season and will travel to play Saint Cloud Tech on Friday January 10th.
