The 25th ranked Gopher men's basketball team defeated Iowa 69-59 Sunday evening at Williams Arena.  Trevor Mbakwe came off the bench to lead Minnesota with 16 points and 12 rebounds, Al Nolen added 13 points and Ralph Sampson III added 11 points.  Blake Hoffarber added 9 points on just 2-10 shooting.  The Gophers outrebounded the Hawkeyes 38-28.  Minnesota improves to 3-3 in the Big Ten and 14-4 overall.  The Gophers play at Michigan at 6pm Saturday, pregame on WJON at 5:30.
